Camera test

Check your picture before you go live.

Ready to test

See what your camera sees

Check the image, framing, resolution, and stability right here in your browser.

How to check your webcam

The video preview stays on your device. The frame rate is a browser-side estimate, so your streaming or calling app may report a different value.

Choose your camera

Select your new webcam if your computer has more than one camera, then allow access for this site.

Inspect the preview

Look for focus, lighting, framing, and freezes. Check the reported resolution and frame rate.

Confirm in your app

Choose the same camera in your meeting, streaming, or gaming app before you start.

Choose a focused test

If a test doesn't work

Microphone stays silent

Check the input device selected above and your system input level. If the browser asks for microphone access, allow it for this site, then try again. Close another app that may be using the mic.

Headphones have no sound

Raise the system volume to a comfortable level and choose the correct output device in your computer's sound settings. Try Left and Right separately to catch swapped channels.

Camera shows no picture

Check the camera selected above and the browser's camera permission. Close other apps using the camera, then restart the test. Your video remains in this browser.

Your privacy

No sign-up or download. You can use every test without creating an account, installing software, or giving us your name or email address.

Your tests stay with you. Microphone audio and camera video are processed in your browser. A short microphone recording is kept only in this open browser session so you can play it back; it is removed when you leave the page. We do not upload or save recordings, video, device names, or detailed test readings.

Optional analytics. If you allow it, Google Analytics measures page visits and actions such as choosing a tool, starting a test, and whether it worked. Google may set analytics cookies to distinguish visits. You can change your choice using Analytics settings in the footer.

Advertising. We may show one Google AdSense ad below the tests. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and other browser data to serve ads; where required, you can manage advertising consent separately from analytics. See our privacy page for details.

About site delivery. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, processes basic connection information, such as your IP address, to deliver the page and operate its service. We do not use this information to identify you or build a profile.
